The crab effect is a characteristic behavior that is characterized by an individual trying to destroy an individual who is doing better, or "If I can't have it, you can't either." Also best illustrated by the Czech story: "Lord God, my pig died. Please let my neighbor die too"

Humans are the only creatures on planet Earth that have the ability to consciously change or adapt to their environment. Other living creatures can only adapt to the environment in which they occur.
